The Story Behind the Brand
Founded in 2021 by Clara Nentille, following her father's experience with skin cancer, Substance of Light emerged from a simple but powerful mission: to make sun protection smarter, healthier and easier to live with.
Formerly in investment banking, Clara joined forces with top-tier scientists—including a former CNRS researcher—and spent nearly three years in research and development before bringing TRUE FILTER™ to life.
Her goal? To make daily SPF second nature with a mist that feels weightless, works over makeup and leaves no residue.
