Description

Gothic Incense by The Different Company occupies a world that is both urban and sacred: a city at night, where the smoke of holy woods floods into steel and concrete, where incense no longer soothes but burns.

Created by perfumer Serge de Oliveira, this extrait de parfum concentrated at 53.5% pushes pepper and wood into their darkest registers. Almost charred, almost inflamed. A fragrance built on density, not light.

Gothic Incense Extrait de Parfum by The Different Company

Gothic Incense opens on an immediate, near-metallic contrast. Pink pepper brings a sharp, faintly fruity brightness, quickly seized by black pepper, which hardens the accord into something taut and mineral. Green spices extend this opening into colder, more herbaceous territory, almost industrial in their austerity.

The heart tips into heat. Burnt cedarwood unfolds a deep, charcoal-laced texture, amplified by incense that arrives with near-liturgical weight : dense, intimate, borderline sacred. Any remaining lightness is incinerated. What remains is the atmosphere of a nocturnal ritual with no way out.

The dry-down reaches maximum intensity. Deeply concentrated smoked wood wraps everything in a heavy, persistent texture, extended by oakmoss whose damp, earthy facets evoke cold cathedral stone. A final cedar note grounds the composition in dark, timeless presence.
