The Story of Estelle & Thild

• While leading another skincare company, the decision to create an eco-friendly organic cosmetics brand came to Pernilla Rönnberg when she discovered that a typical morning beauty routine can contain over 200 different chemicals: dyes, fragrances, preservatives, texturizing agents, emulsifiers...

  The young mother then became aware of the dangers to the body and the environment posed by the synthetic and impure substances widely used by the beauty industry to create pleasant textures, appealing scents for the masses, or simply to bulk up products cheaply.

  She took a step back from her work and asked herself the question that troubles many parents today: "What kind of world will my daughters grow up in?"

  She decided to start by changing her own consumption habits and set out to find organic, healthy, and natural cosmetic products for herself and her two daughters. A quest that was more difficult than it seems today, as natural cosmetics were still not very visible or developed at the time.

  The idea of contributing to the necessary changes for a more sustainable future by developing an eco-friendly organic cosmetics company, in order to make a difference at her own level and inspire people to make healthier and eco-conscious choices, gave Pernilla the energy to create her organic and natural cosmetics brand in 2007. She named it Estelle & Thild in honor of her two daughters: Estelle and Mathilde.

  Today, Estelle & Thild is a natural skincare brand that positively influences the beauty industry in Sweden and beyond, with the goal of offering high-quality organic beauty products that respect the environment to as many people as possible.
