From the very first moments, saffron unfolds with precious spicy nuances and supple suede facets that highlight vanilla's naturally leathery character. A juicy pineapple accord provides an unexpected burst of fruity brightness with a subtly caramelised touch, bringing surprising radiance to the opening.

At its heart lies a masterful dual interpretation of olibanum. The resinoid lends a rich, balsamic, amber-like depth, while the essential oil reveals lighter, almost peppery nuances. Together, they cloak the vanilla in an ethereal veil of mystical incense. Tonka bean absolute, with its almond, dried hay and blond tobacco facets, enhances the fragrance with irresistible warmth and addictive sensuality.

In the drydown, Bourbon vanilla finally reveals its full splendour. Creamy, smoky and delicately spiced, its naturally leathery nuances are extended by soft musks into an enveloping trail of remarkable elegance and exceptional longevity.

Dominique Ropion's Vision of Vanilla

Launched in 2021, Vanagloria became part of Laboratorio Olfattivo's prestigious Masters' Collection, a series in which an iconic raw material is entrusted to a renowned perfumer with complete creative freedom. Here, the spotlight falls on vanilla through the vision of master perfumer Dominique Ropion.

Long fascinated by vanilla's remarkable complexity, Ropion selected an exceptional LMR Bourbon vanilla, cultivated in the Indian Ocean and extracted using a CO2 process. This cold extraction method preserves the ingredient's full aromatic spectrum, revealing gourmand, floral, spicy and subtly leathery facets with extraordinary fidelity.
