The eau de parfum Cherry Punk by the brand Room 1015 traces its roots to 430 King's Road in London, to the boutique Vivienne Westwood called SEX, where it all began.

Bleach-haired kids traded rare vinyl records, denim was deliberately worn down, leather was hand-painted, latex and tartan sat alongside prints bold enough to make any parent blush.

Did fashion invent Punk, or did Punk invent fashion? From underground clubs to national television, the movement always built its own style, its own press through fanzines, its own films, its own poetry. It only made sense that it should have its own fragrance too. Cherry Punk opens on a fruity spiced accord that snaps immediately into place: Cherry brings its juicy roundness, warmed by Saffron's precious tint, while Sichuan Pepper adds an almost electric sharpness.

The heart carries a floral bouquet that feels unexpected for such an assertive fragrance: Violet, Jasmine Absolute and Mimosa answer one another in a powdery, romantic softness that contrasts with the deliberate harshness of the rest of the composition.

In the base, Patchouli, Tonka Bean and a black leather accord close the fragrance on a dark, animalic and warm foundation, recalling the very texture of a jacket worn against bare skin.
