Bagage à main opens on the round, faintly woody warmth of nutmeg, a spice that instantly recalls a trunk being opened. Fleur de cuir lays down a first soft, powdery facet, while cistus essential oil brings a resinous, ambery, almost animalic note that foreshadows the material to come.

The heart reveals Italian leather in all its nobility: a tanned, burnished hide, wrapped by Peru balsam in a balsamic softness with vanilla accents. Three vetivers, from Java, Haiti and Madagascar, give it structure: smoky for one, earthy or greener for the others, they trace the dry, rooty grain that makes this leather so tangible.

In the base, three patchoulis from Madagascar and Sulawesi unfold a woody, faintly cocoa-like depth, extended by Ambronova, an ambery woody molecule, into a diffuse warmth. Creamy tonka bean closes the composition on a caressing softness, like the lining of a bag carried for years.
