How to treat your skin after summer and sun exposure ?
Just back from vacation and your tan is already fading or facing some blemishes ? Here are our beauty treatments to keep a clear and radiant complexion.
How to avoid sun-induced blemishes ?
Without some precautions, blemishes can (re)appear after summer. This is called the sun rebound effect. To protect itself from UV rays, the upper layer of the skin has thickened and contributes to the clogging of pores, leading to the formation of microcysts and comedones which may turn into pimples a few weeks after exposure.
- Gently exfoliate to prevent thickening and unclog pores.
- Use a purifying routine with a suitable cleanser and mask.
- For imperfections on the body (torso, back, shoulders), apply a specific peeling treatment.
Our tips to prolong tan ?
Thorough exfoliation and intensive hydration are the basic steps to prolong your tan. The objective: to rid the skin surface of dead cells and prevent the skin from drying out. On the food side, we favor foods rich in beta-carotene (carrot, apricot, melon, pepper).
- Take a tan extender dietary supplement.
- Intensely moisturize daily with an after-sun body cream or oil.
- Choose a mild resurfacing cleanser to maintain skin's radiance.
