How to take care of your dry hair ?

Space out shampoos: once or twice a week maximum and precede with an intense pre-shampoo treatment (mask or hair oil).
Avoid aggressive sulphates (SLS) or silicones and avoid straighteners or hair dryers in favour of air drying preceded by a moisturising leave-in treatment over the entire head of hair, with particular emphasis on the ends.
Eat a diet rich in silica and iron (lentils, wheat germ, brewer's yeast, etc.) and omega-3 (oily fish, olive oil, etc.).

Forgetting to protect your hair: the sun, sea salt, chlorine, etc. attack and weaken your hair. Always wash your hair after swimming and never rinse it with water that is too hot. A leave-in moisturiser suitable for dry hair is needed to act as a protective barrier against external aggressions.
Focus on the lengths and ends, forgetting the scalp: the roots are where the sebum responsible for lubricating the hair is produced. It is therefore necessary to take care to maintain a balanced scalp and to distribute the sebum well. To combat dryness of the scalp: pinch your scalp from front to back when shampooing to stimulate it. To distribute oil throughout the hair: frequently brush the hair strand by strand, bringing it to one side and then the other. Repeat the operation from back to front while bending over, ideally with a natural hair brush (boar bristle).
Do not use a hair dryer, but do not rub your hair vigorously with the towel! Rubbing lifts the scales of the hair fibre, making it porous and fragile, and a microfibre towel is more effective than the classic cotton one because it is more absorbent. As for the material, opt for a satin (synthetic) or even better silk pillowcase: this limits static electricity and keeps the hair soft and smooth. Forget about tangled, electric hair in the morning !
