The Umaï Story

• Umaï’s journey began in 2018 when four complementary minds came together: Angéline, a cosmetic formulation engineer; Célia, a sustainability expert; Sara, a communications strategist; and Emeric, an entrepreneur in the green economy. With deep roots in both the beauty and environmental sectors, they shared a common frustration — the so-called “green” cosmetics industry was still generating waste and relying on questionable ingredients.

  Determined to rewrite the rules, they launched Umaï — short for "Une Marque À Impact" (A Brand With Impact). From day one, they set out to do things differently: building a sustainable, science-led skincare line from the ground up, developed entirely in their own lab in the Berry region of France. This independence allows them full control over every detail, from ingredient sourcing to the textures and performance of each formula.

  Their mission? Solid beauty products that are sensorial and effective, made only with natural ingredients from France or nearby.
